Take a tour of Omis, located at the mouth of the emerald-green Cetina Riverand dominated by lost world limestone escarpments and the stone battlements of a mountaintop 15th-century fortress. Omis has drama, beauty and history.Travel into the Biokovo Mountains for stunning ocean views. Or head to the enchanting medieval walled city of Dubrovnik. Circled by butter-coloured fortified walls and golden city beaches, the UNESCO-listed old town is a warren of white-stone houses, terracotta roofs and baroque churches.Day 5 Tu%u010depi - Split - Bra%u010d. Today we travel up to Split where we join an included walking tour of this UNESCO-protected city. Croatia%u2019s second largest city started out life in AD 295 as the retirement palace for the Roman emperor, Diocletian. Carved from Bra%u010d white stone (our next stop) Diocletian%u2019s Palace still stands at the heart of the old town and houses some of the best-preserved Roman ruins in the world.After our tour there%u2019s time to explore the medieval winding streets before a scenic ferry journey to the island of Bra%u010d. We stay on the island for seven nights in Milna or Supetar.Days 6-11 Bra%u010d. Despite being the third largest island in the Adriatic, Bra%u010d is much sleepier than its A-list neighbours of Hvar and Kor%u010dula. The island is famous for its olive oil and Bra%u010d stone - the white quarried stone responsible for keeping Europe%u2019s cathedrals and palaces looking so shiny for the past two millennia.A patchwork of traditional villages, pine forests and olive groves indented with peaceful bays, an included tour takes us on a panoramic drive of the island%u2019s highlights. The rest of the week is free.There are also optional excursions you can join. Take a wine and olive tasting trip to Dol. Or visit some of the island%u2019s small villages and pastoral settlements of stone houses.Day 12 Bra%u010d - Split - Solin. Today we take the ferry back to Split and visit the ruined Roman city of Salona with its huge amphitheatre. Transfer to Solin - the former Roman capital of Dalmatia. Inland from the coast and surrounded by verdant farmland and rocky outcrops, Solin is a peaceful oasis to spend our last three nights.Days 13-14 Solin. Over the next two days, we explore with plenty of time in between to relax and enjoy the quiet village feel of Solin.We%u2019ll head to the beautiful city of Trogir - a UNESCO World Heritage Site linked to the mainland by bridges. Wrapped in turquoise waters, the Venetian fa%u00e7ades and palm trees of the waterfront look like they%u2019ve come straight out of the Italian Riviera. Within the ancient city walls is a maze of medieval streets, Byzantine churches and Renaissance bell towers.There%u2019s also an optional tour available to Krka National Park - an Eden-like landscape of seven waterfalls, jade-green lakes and wooden boardwalks. Afterwards you%u2019ll stop at %u0160ibenik with terracotta-topped houses, elegant Renaissance buildings and Gothic churches built into the slopes above the port.Day 15 Solin - Split - UK. We transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
