Today we reach an exciting milestone - crossing the Arctic Circle. To mark the occasion, we take part in a fun traditional ceremony on board (we%u2019ll keep the details a surprise!). We visit Bod%u00f8, gateway to the wild north, before continuing to Svolv%u00e6r in the heart of the Lofoten Islands. This far north, we%u2019re in prime Northern Lights territory. Troms%u00f8 is also a gateway to S%u00e1pmi, the homeland of the Sami people. Their traditions - from reindeer herding and joik (a unique style of song) to a deep connection with nature - have shaped the region for centuries.Day 9 Hammerfest - Honningsvag (North Cape) - Berlevag. Welcome to the edge of the world. This part of the journey takes you as far north as land and sea allow. For many travellers, reaching the North Cape is a highlight. The landscape is simple and dramatic: vast, rugged, and shaped by Arctic forces. Here, nature takes centre stage.Day 10 Kirkenes. This morning, we disembark our ship and step into a true winter fairytale with a visit to the extraordinary Kirkenes Snowhotel. Each year, a staggering 25 tonnes of ice and 5 million litres of snow are transformed into a work of art with the snow suites each uniquely designed and intricately sculpted.
